REST IN THE FINISHED WORK
Tomorrow brings us to Day 40. But today in our journey we pause here: CHRIST OUR ATONEMENT.
Rest in the finished work of Christ; serve the living God freely.
There is a place in repentance where striving must give way to rest.
We do not manufacture our own cleansing.
We do not save ourselves.
We do not have to perform our way into God’s presence.
For those of us who confess Christ: we rest in His finished work.
And then — we serve the living God freely. This is done, not from fear, bondage or the need to prove ourselves — but from gratitude.
Today, rest.
Remember.
Receive.
And let gratitude become obedience.
Tomorrow, we seal the return.
